⚠ Draft — pending legal review

This page was written by the Sono Port team, not a lawyer, and has not been certified for legal compliance (including GDPR for EU users, or payment-related regulations). Treat it as a good-faith description of our current practices, not a legally binding guarantee, until a qualified legal professional has reviewed it.

What we collect

  • Your account email address (used to log in and to contact you about your account)
  • The audio files ("loops") you upload, and metadata you or our AI generate for them (BPM, key, style, tags, creative name)
  • Your producer handle (the @handle used in file names and distribution)
  • Your profile photo, if you upload one
  • Mailing list addresses you enter yourself, to distribute your own loops to your own subscribers
  • Basic usage data (e.g. when you log in, what actions you take in the app) to keep the service running and improve it

Why we collect it

We use this data only to run Sono Port: authenticate you, store and analyze your loops, generate their final file names, and distribute them to the Discord servers and mailing lists you configure. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Loops follow our existing retention policy: a loop that has been sent expires 3 months (90 days) after its last send date; a loop that's never been sent expires 1 year (365 days) after upload (or after you last renew it). Once a loop expires, it's soft-deleted and kept for a further 7-day grace period (during which you can still restore it) before being permanently deleted from storage. Account data (email, handle, profile photo) is kept for as long as your account is active.

Who else processes your data

We rely on a small number of trusted subprocessors to run the service:

  • Supabase — our database, file storage, and authentication provider. Your account data and loop files are stored on their infrastructure.
  • Resend — delivers the emails Sono Port sends (distribution emails, retention reminders, and similar notifications).
  • Stripe — will process payments once paid plans are available. Sono Port never sees or stores your full card details directly.

Requesting deletion

We don't yet have a self-service "delete my account" button. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email sonoport2026@gmail.com from the address on your account, and we'll remove your data manually.
